Diesel Mechanic / Yard Person

KPI Construction Services, a leader in major civil infrastructure projects, is currently seeking a **Diesel Mechanic & Yard Person** to join our growing team in **Upper Coomera, Qld**. **About the Role**

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of **diesel and petrol-powered vehicles** and equipment, while also assisting with general yard duties. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the fleet operates efficiently, safely, and in compliance with relevant maintenance procedures.

**Key Responsibilities:**

– Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs on a variety of **diesel and petrol-powered vehicles and equipment**.

– Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with heavy vehicles, construction machinery, and petrol vehicles.

– **Auto electrical skills** are a huge advantage for diagnosing and repairing electrical systems within the fleet.

– **Experience using a MIG welder** is desirable for repairs and maintenance.

– Maintain accurate records of work completed in the maintenance database.

– Support compliance with industry and environmental standards.

– Assist in general yard tasks such as organizing equipment and ensuring a clean, safe working environment.

**Skills and Experience:**

– Qualified Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic or equivalent Mechanical Trade.

– Experience with both diesel and petrol vehicle maintenance.

– **Auto electrical skills** highly desirable.

– **MIG welding experience** is a bonus.

– Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

– Familiarity with workshop databases for recording and tracking maintenance.

– MR/HR license preferred.
